Halo 3: Recon is going to act as a prequel to Halo 3, which was one of the best-selling games last year on any platform.
The Halo franchise is absolutely massive, as the game racked up some amazing sales, breaking records.
This will be a stand-alone Halo release which will launch in Fall 2009, most likely next November.
The game is going to feature an extension to Halo 3 in the form pf a prequel, with a whole new campaign mode and multi-player gameplay.
Bungie has released the first video trailer for Halo 3: Recon, and is also expected to reveal much more at TGS 2008.
This is not the only Halo game c oming to the Xbox 360, as Halo Wars, the real time strategy, is also due to release in early 2009.
